Return Policy

Skeen Concepts does not accept any returns or exchanges on custom or special order furniture and home décor items.

If you're not completely satisfied with your in stock item purchase, we will gladly offer you an exchange or refund within 15 days from receipt of item(s). 

Returns are refunded in the original payment form for the merchandise price, less shipping and handling. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Customer is responsible for return shipping and handling charges for item(s). 

Completion

Skeen Concepts has the utmost respect for our client's time. Once we start a custom piece project with our client, we will provide an estimated completion time frame. 

We will provide an estimated date of completion upon purchase or when your custom order is placed. However, Skeen Concepts cannot guarantee an exact completion date as it varies depending on the project specifications, custom paint/stain, procurement of materials/supplies, drying time, etc.

Skeen Concepts is 100% committed to our client's satisfaction and we take our work very seriously. We strive to complete orders as quick as humanly possible. However, due to certain factors that may be out of our control,  turnaround times to complete a custom order may take longer than the time stated at time of purchase or order. Any delays of process time and completion expectations will be communicated to the client.

Completion time can vary per each custom project due to many factors. While a small customized piece of furniture or home decor may take 1-2 weeks to complete, a larger piece may take roughly 3-5 weeks (or possibly more). Completion time is dependent on the detailed nature of the pieces themselves, the number of furniture pieces, procurement of specialty materials/supplies and our lead time with existing projects that are already in progress.

Skeen Concepts completes the orders on a first come, first serve basis in the order they are received. We realize that some clients need pieces by a specific date, therefore we do offer “rush service”. The client must inform Skeen Concepts of the date they need the item to be completed by when the purchase or order is made. A Rush Service charge equal to 20% of the total project customization balance will be added to the final balance. This service fee allows Skeen Concepts to employ additional staff, seasoned professionals, space and other necessities to finish your project in the timely manner you require.

Skeen Concepts requires payment in full as well as any remaining balance owed upon completion of your custom project. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Deposits

Once custom order is placed to Skeen Concepts, the clients deposit is refundable for up to 48 hours. A deposit can be made in the form of cash, check or credit card. Skeen Concepts requires 50% of total project as a deposit prior to the commencement of the project. If client decides against completion of project (after the 48 hour graces period), Skeen Concepts is not required to return deposit. 

Payments

Payments can be made in the form of cash, check or credit card. We also accept Paypal. Client must submit the total amount or remaining balance prior to receiving item. Final payment for custom orders must be made in the form of a certified check, credit card or cash or through Paypal.

Delivery

Skeen Concepts offers personal delivery throughout Long Island (including Queens and Brooklyn) and New York City. Under certain circumstances, Skeen Concepts may deliver to New Jersey and Connecticut (please contact us if you live in these states). 

Personal delivery includes the transportation of your purchase to your street address, including removal from vehicle and into the immediate entrance of your building. Due to insurance limitations, Skeen Concepts is not able to lift, carry, or move furniture more than one flight of stairs (a flight constitutes 6 or more steps, and includes any steps leading into the building). Additional costs will be applied if our delivery team needs to lift, carry or move the item more than one flight of stairs. We are not responsible for moving any of the clients existing furniture. 

Please note: should any delivery personnel be injured on your property due to noncompliance with the guidelines outlined above, we will be forced to file a claim with your building insurance, property insurance, or homeowners policy.

Skeen Concepts is not responsible for your purchase not fitting through doorways, elevators, stairwells, and other restrictive spaces. Please check the dimensions of your living space, building, entry points, etc to ensure your purchase will fit properly. If your purchase does not fit through any personal or public space upon delivery, we will leave your purchase in your possession where it is, so you can make other arrangements. Skeen Concepts can not, due to insurance policy alter, remove, or otherwise modify any personal or private living space to accommodate your furniture delivery.

Please inspect all items immediately upon delivery/receipt of shipment. Any damages, issues or concerns regarding your purchase must be documented upon receipt of shipment. Failure to notify Skeen Concepts of any discrepancies with your purchase or commissioned services on delivery day will not be addressed. No refunds, partial payments, shipping charges or credit will be returned if we are not notified about discrepancy with item upon inspection at delivery. 

Estimates

Estimates are an approximation and not guaranteed. The estimate is based on information provided from the client regarding project requirements. Actual cost may change once all project elements are finalized or negotiated. Prior to any changes of cost, the client will be notified. Estimate valid for 30 days.

The product(s)/ service(s) will begin upon receipt of payment/ first deposit. Any additional services requested by the client that is not covered by the estimate will incur additional charges. Changes in the specifications, quantities, schedule or other aspects of the products/services that are requested or approved by you do not become binding upon Skeen Concepts unless accepted by Skeen Concepts in writing. Any such changes may result in additional or increased charges, in which the client is responsible for these additional charges.
